upon coming wwf, harlem knights given new gimmick: nelson became mabel, bobby became mo, , given rapping manager named oscar. new team, dubbed men on mission, introduced wwf audience through vignettes portraying them 3 african american men trying make positive change in inner city neighborhoods. clad in purple , yellow, debuted solid faces.
at wrestlemania x, men on mission defeated wwf tag team champions, quebecers, countout, did not win belts. on april 29, 1994, won title @ house show in london, england. quebecers regained title 2 days later in sheffield, england.
in mid-1994, mabel began wrestling more singles matches; seen spectacle of men on mission due size, “special attraction” got used make rising stars good. competed in 1994 king of ring tournament, defeating pierre of quebecers in qualifying round before losing irs in quarterfinals. had match pit rap vs. country against jeff jarrett @ summerslam, jarrett won.

in 1995, after losing match against reigning tag team champion-smoking gunns, mabel , mo brutally attacked them. shortly thereafter did again , followed attack turning on oscar , beating him up, turning them both heel. mabel dropped fun-loving, positive personality in favor of adopting more thuggish image , received push singles wrestler, winning king of ring tournament in june, after that, mabel became known king mabel, mo becoming sir mo , manager. mabel awarded championship belt, designed , created belt maker reggie parks. belt, engraved king of ring , 1 of kind, world wrestling federation had not before or since created belt king of ring. belt never seen on wwf tv.
after victory king mabel became top heel in company , challenged wwf champion diesel @ august s summerslam. however, before summerslam wwf made decision turn davey boy smith, 1 of company s more popular wrestlers, against fans , replace mabel company s top villain. turn occurred on august 21, 1995 edition of monday night raw, men on mission wrestle smith , lex luger, known allied powers. luger not @ event, however, , smith convinced diesel partner. smith attacked diesel during match , joined king mabel , sir mo in assaulting him. attack called royal plan , @ least period appeared smith, mabel, mo, , jim cornette going aligned in future. never came pass.

the undertaker returned wearing phantom of opera-style mask and, month later, defeated king mabel in casket match @ in house 5: seasons beatings. after match, frazier s push came end , within several weeks both , horne fired. last 3 matches on new year s day edition of raw when buried in eight-second loss diesel, on january 6, 1996 edition of wwf superstars when lost rematch undertaker in casket match, , in 1996 royal rumble match third wrestler eliminated former rival yokozuna.
