in june, 2016, company released prototype of vi, wearable ai earphone personal training device combines voice instructions bio-sensors. voice-activated digital assistant similar apple s siri fitness tracking features of fitbit. earbuds have sensors track heart rate, heart rate variability , motion while running. sensors track weather, elevation, , location. vi analyzes data , provides real-time coaching based on fitness goals. chooses spotify or apple music tracks match beats per minute of recommended pace. product scheduled consumer release in december, 2016.

a kickstarter campaign vi ended in july 2016 $1.68 million, making highest funded campaign date wearable.

technology partnerships

lifebeam technology embedded in samsung simband platform smart watches, samsung’s competitive platform apple watch. lifebeam s algorithms used in simband sensors, measuring heart rate, calories , steps. platform became available in late 2014.

the technology powers heart rate monitoring feature in under armour s wireless headphones, released @ ces in january 2016. powers 2xu smart hat, first reviewed in january 2016.

helmet

in 2013, lifebeam used crowdsourced funding platform indiegogo fund sensor-rich bicycle helmet. helmet uses optical sensor instead of ecg chest strap measure athlete’s heart rate. data collected optical sensor transmitted mobile phone or device using bluetooth or ant+ athletes can keep track of heart rate in real time.

the lifebeam smart helmet has been reviewed in publications such gear patrol, cycling tips, , cycling tech review, , gear junkie.

the company further commercialized product release of co-branded products lazer helmets. first edition released in may 2014 , second edition, lazer lifebeam 2.0, in december 2015.

sports cap
