the halone house reflects alex halone s artistry in stonework, variety of fanciful masonry treatments. @ core, house approximately square two–story house, built in square sandstone, hipped roof. front, porch has been added in rough travertine stone rubble jack arch on front door. garage flanks porch left. on east side of house stacked , squared chimney extending height of first floor, supporting enclosed balcony. flue extends between 2 windows main house looking on top balcony. top of balcony rises tapering stucco flue studded rubble. rear of house capped second-story addition, clad in shingles. west side rough in appearance , apparently considered secondary elevation.
sauna
the log sauna built late in alex halone s life on several years of son eugene , fellow finnish immigrant, lauri suikaonen. 1½ story building houses sauna room under flat-roofed section , dressing room under upstairs room. sauna represents significant aspect of finnish immigrant life, , 1 of 2 examples of kind in wyoming.
the halone house listed on national register of historic places in 1994.
