there several new design solutions applied on volk armoured vehicles family: unified platform, independent hydro-pneumatic suspension height adjustment, enhanced protection of cabin, engine compartment , functional module, new diesel engine yamz-5347, onboard information control system (bius), modular design.


the conception of protection of vehicles based on provision of highest ballistic , mine protection of vehicle , personnel. design of frame-panel armour provides assembly , dis-assembly in field conditions without use of special tools. ballistic protection stanag 4569 level 3 possibility of increasing level. mine protection 1 level (2 after upgrade).

volk vehicles have advanced engine yamz-5347 euro-4. engine has modernization reserve power 300 hp. transmission , transfer gearbox provides resource of 250 thousand km engine power of 240 hp.


independent hydropneumatic suspension height adjustment allows change ground clearance 250 mm 500 mm , move off road @ speed 55–60 km/h.


the angle of front , rear overhang varies depending on position of suspension 45 55 degrees. minimum turn radius 7 m.


the unification of vehicles includes unified power units, cabins, suspension, transmission, onboard information control system , protection features. internal volume of cabin 2.4 cubic meters, functional module of vpk-3927 vehicle - 4.7 cubic meters, vpk-39271 mono space module- 7.2 cubic meters, , volume vpk-39273 6x6 module 10,3 cubic meters.


onboard information control system (bius) provides control function , diagnosis of basic units , components of vehicles record of parameters. engine controlled 15 parameters: pressure, temperature, speed, fuel supply, cooling system, lubricating system. transmission , tires controlled temperature , pressure. hydraulic , suspension adjustment system controlled in 24 points. malfunction of bius not connected mobility of vehicle.
