the huskies ski team united states collegiate ski , snowboard association (uscsa) alpine skiing program started in 1971 competes member of thompson division in eastern collegiate ski conference conference (ecsc). sweeping both men s , women s division championships in 2014, ski team placed 5th , 4th [respectively] in ecsc regionals advance first team appearance @ uscsa national championships.
climbing
the northeastern club climbing team founded in spring of 2014. in 2014 collegiate season, team won new england regional championship , placed 2nd in usa climbing collegiate climbing series national championships. @ 2015 national championships, team placed 1st in speed climbing , 5th overall.
rugby
founded in 1984, northeastern university rugby football club plays college rugby in east coast rugby conference. northeastern won 2012 east coast 7s championship qualify 2012 usa rugby college 7s national championship. huskies scheduled compete @ 2014 collegiate rugby championship, tournament broadcast live on nbc ppl park in philadelphia.
lacrosse
the northeastern men s lacrosse team, founded in 1983, competes in mcla s pioneer collegiate lacrosse league. major in-conference rivals huskies include uconn , boston college. recent successes include national tournament trips in 2005, 2007, , 2014.
