in fall of 2009, georgia state opened 325-bed residence hall exclusively freshman students, named freshman hall. renamed patton hall in 2013 after former georgia state president carl patton, dorms located on corner of piedmont , edgewood avenues, approximately 0.2 miles heart of gsu s campus. facility includes 24/4.5 dining hall offering breakfast, lunch, , dinner in buffet style. dining hall open georgia state students, , residents of patton hall required have meal plans dining hall.
