pitt started season 2-3, came surprise many after pitt listed favorite win 2010 big east football conference championship. panthers received 22 of 24 possible first-place votes, , 2 second-place votes. after slow start, panthers rebounded, winning 4 out of next 5 games, improving record 6-4. panthers ended season @ 8-5 , finished big east co-champions, along west virginia , connecticut. however, because of panthers losses both schools, not eligible conference s bid bcs bowl game.
kentucky
the wildcats began season winning first 3 games, against non-conference teams. on span of next 6 games, wildcats won single game, reducing record 4-5. split last 4 games of season, finishing @ 6-6, 5th in eastern division of southeastern conference.
