currently, İzban plans on extending line 30 km south of cumaovası torbalı after line opens aliağa. planned upgrade 4 existing stations: tekeli, pancar, tepeköy , torbalı. 3 more overpasses motorways built. on march 6, 2011, project approved ministry of transport , prime minister of turkey.
aliağa-bergama / torbalı-selçuk
after torbalı extension finished, İzban plans extend line 55 km north of aliağa bergama , 32 km south of torbalı selçuk. goal of project link ancient cities of pergamon , ephesus İzmir rail.
menemen-manisa
an extension manisa planned , construction expected begin towards end of 2011. mean upgrading of several stations (emiralem, ayvacık, muradiye, horozköy) , major upgrade of manisa railway station, adding few new stations serve villages near line(yahşelli, göktepe). this, existing single track line, made double track , electrified 25 kv ac overhead wire.
