yet beneath gruff exterior, kind man, demonstrated once when met him. shoes must have been sight, when looked down @ them, asked me if pair had. nodded. next morning, summoned me office , handed me pair of irish brogues, strongest, beautiful shoes d ever seen. , had them years.



buckley left leeds in april 1953, moving walsall, left them in september 1955.


buckley died in walsall in december 1964, aged 82.
