two main thoroughfares, laird boulevard , graham boulevard, cut across borough diagonally , meet @ connaught park, green space located in centre. mount royal train station, commuter train station on rtm deux-montagnes line located east of park. trains going through mount royal tunnel link station downtown montreal in 8 minutes. both avenues end @ jean talon street , close highway.


tmr surrounded on 3 sides highway, fence , rail line.


the highway metropolitan boulevard, major constituent of autoroute 40. built elevated highway throughout, except when passes through tmr (between sainte croix avenue , l acadie boulevard), since town council requested built on ground, in order separate town industrial area north.


a fence runs along eastern border park extension @ l acadie boulevard, 6 lane thoroughfare. stated purpose of fence prevent children , house pets running busy thoroughfare have contended built keep residents of working-class park extension neighbourhood out of town.


the rail line last portion of canadian pacific s adirondack subdivision. ran through northern part of district of côte-des-neiges. however, when town became part of montreal on jan 1, 2002, part of côte-des-neiges north of rail line incorporated mount royal borough. when town demerged on jan 1, 2006 part, known glenmount, reverted côte-des-neiges.
