there 7 emd f59ph iv locomotives acquired go transit.  original numbers these #525, #527-528 , #565-568. these overhauled in late 2010 norfolk southern railroad , relco locomotive meet epa standards , renumbered 120-126.



emd f59phi (2001)

there 2 emd f59phi locomotives purchased emd. numbers these #569 , #570.


diesel multiple units

tre owns 13 budd rail diesel cars, purchased via rail canada in 1993 , remanufactured gec alsthom in montreal.  in 2010-11 ten cars leased dcta a-train, have been returned , in storage @ tre shops in irving, tx.

each non-rdc train includes @ least 1 locomotive unit , 1 bi-level cab car. typically, 1 or 2 additional coach cars included between locomotive , cab car. each cab car (and each train) has restroom , passengers may move between cars during trip. trip union station t&p station takes on hour, scheduled trip times ranging 1 hour, 3 minutes 1 hour, eleven minutes. track improvements underway should offer improvement in travel times double-tracking stations , sections of route. currently, portions of route single-track, requiring eastbound , westbound trains meet @ points , requiring eastbound trains hold 5–7 minutes wait westbound train passing area.
