in october-november 1991 recorded next album, wah wahs out, elliot producing again. 1992 had signed shock records label, shagpile records , released album year. mcfarlane felt title apt featured unsettling sonic assault of wah wah , fuzzed guitar effects remarkably intriguing same token . in october 1993 followed six-track album, couch, produced darren mcbain, dave lokan , lizard train; , recorded @ big sound studios in april.
in march 1995 next album, moves, appeared; preceded associated single, came nothing , month earlier. produced steve albini (nirvana, breeders, jesus lizard) @ mixmasters studio in belair. both albums maintained noise factor song quality . in may year issued five-track extended play, inertia, produced albini. time had relocated melbourne , became dumb earth. in 1998 interview slide show fanzine willard recalled lizard train s music sort of heavy pop / psychedelic band .

by may 1995 lizard train s creese , willard, on bass guitar , backing vocals, had relocated melbourne , formed dumb earth mark ford on saxophone , adam kyle spellicy on guitar , vocals. according music journalist, andy turner, sound brain-melting amalgamation of avant-garde jazz , slide guitar . in december 1994 had recorded debut single, taxi me through while still in adelaide, @ basement grant sullivan producing – released following year on pop gun records. june 1997 had signed rubber records , issued debut album, walk earth, produced martyn robinson @ domestic bliss studios. majority of tracks written creese alone 3 co-written creese , willard. willard described playing sort of dark jazz /blues filmic music .
by 2001 ford had been replaced on saxophone simon whithear provided clarinet , backing vocals; line-up expanded addition of glendon blazely on trombone, trumpet, tuba , backing vocals; kiernan box on piano , piano accordion; , phil kakulas on double bass. dumb earth s second album, blessings in disguise, released in september year david nelson producing @ yarn factory hour of need label , distributed sony music. november 2002 had willard left group , replaced justin avery on bass guitar. mid-2005 dumb earth had disbanded , creese pursued solo career.
back in 1996 creese, spellicy , willard, on lead guitar , lead vocals, had formed side-project, hired guns, anthony paine (also in snout) on bass guitar , backing vocals. group played late 1960s , 1970s psychedelic country rock. in 1998 released split/single blue sunday backed track dearhunters. in 2002 issued debut album, between here & night, on laughing outlaw records. 2005 creeese had left hired guns willard continued group until disbanded in late 2010.
